"Beachcombing … childhood fun I will never forget"

I grew up in California during the 1950’s, and 60’s

My family lived in Half Moon Bay and other communities along the California coast.

So many of my childhood memories are focused around that eternal “Day at the Beach”

The Sun …. The Sand …. The windy days watching crashing surf ….

We would head out with the Dogs, a Picnic Basket, Beach Towels and our Hoodies !!

Our tool kit was buckets, baskets and shovels !!

We were so excited to see what the Sea would give us !!! 

If we were really lucky ... a winter storm with high waves would bring to the beach

“TREASURES”

To a child, collecting pretty Shells, Star Fish and beautiful Rocks would all come together as a true

“ADVENTURE”

As an adult I still enjoy beaches … but now … they are located all over the world.

Each beach is a joyous moment in itself ... and a personal travel treasure !!!
